When my sister asked if I could be her Matron of Honor and her photographer, I was surprised and incredibly honored! I wasn't sure how we were going to do it, but of course, I couldn't say no! My husband Ryan and I shoot weddings together, but we've never been in any of the weddings we were photographing so it took a little bit of strategic planning, and thanks to my good friend Emily (who flew in from Ohio to help!) we were able to pull it off! I photographed most of the bride's details like the dress, rings, invitations, etc. while Ryan photographed the groom's details and groomsmen. Emily and Ryan handled the ceremony and reception and I whisked Daniele and Danny off for their bride and groom photos.
It had rained a little bit in the morning, which was no big deal at all since the "rain" we get out here in California is nothing compared to what these people brave in Oregon on the regular. But thankfully, the rain subsided and left us with clear blue skies and cooler temperatures!
One of my favorite parts of the wedding day was helping Danielle get ready. She borrowed the same veil I wore for my wedding and it was so special to see her become a bride once it was pinned to her hair.
Guests were welcomed to the ceremony with whiskey and champagne while they waited, anxiously, for the bride.
Danielle + Danny, it was an absolute pleasure being by your side (and documenting) your wedding day. Your friends and family love you so much and it was one of the most beautiful weddings we've seen, truthfully.
