Laguna Beach City Hall Micro Wedding

Something about micro weddings just gets me. Small guest count, no bridal party, no fuss. Just you, your loved ones and a wedding to celebrate your commit to one another. The Laguna Beach City Hall is not only gorgeous, but it was also really simple to plan and apply for the marriage license.

Before we began the ceremony we went to the city clerks office where the bride’s sister signed the license and the witness (the city clerk’s dog Hank and the bride’s nephew were bonus witnesses…and I can assure you it was just as adorable in real life as it looks in photos).

After the ceremony we drove to Treasure Island Beach for golden hour photos on the beach. We expected golden sun a pretty sunset but we didn’t expect extremely high tides, dozens of other photographers (and their clients 😅) all fighting for a space on the small area of sand that wasn’t under water.

But, we also didn’t expect the insane cloud formations that happened after dusk…I typically don’t shoot this late into the evening because the sky just looks black, but when the clouds and sky looked the way they did we just had to take advantage of it!
