Sandpoint, Idaho

Ryan and I took a few weeks off to visit his parents in Northern Idaho. We absolutely loved the downtime and slower way of life up there, especially after a busy and hectic holiday season! Most of the photos were taken right from my in-laws’ property where we saw wild turkeys and deer roaming, played ball with Ellie and sat in the hot tub while it snowed!

We went to downtown Sandpoint and shopped in the quaint stores along the river, and had lunch at a local eatery called The Hound. Their pizzas and wings are to die for!

Some of the locals we met told us about this bar called 219, apparently it’s one of the oldest bars in downtown Sandpoint but we never made it inside! I guess we’ll have to visit the next time we’re in town!

Just a few minutes from the house on Lake Pend’Orielle is an abandoned boat which looks like it could have been a passenger ferry boat? I tried to dig up some research on this boat but haven’t been able to find anything yet. I’d love to know the story behind this and how it wrecked on the shores here, but for now it’s a pretty cool spot to take photos!
